NEWTOME asked: I usually only use cold water to wash clothes. Suddenly, it’s barely a trickle, yet the warm and hot settings operate like usual. All other cold faucets in the house are working normally. The hot and cold water valves to the washer are wide open…what gives? Thanks!

JDH asked: My 2 kittens are going to the vet next week for their 3rd set of vaccinations, and the vet office is about a 15-20 minute walk from my apartment. The temperature here can get to about -10 C/15 F this time of year. Is that too cold to carry them to and from the vet in their carriers so I don’t need to get 2 cabs or will they be fine? They are totally indoor cats so may not be used to the extreme temperature drop.

jwayne2210 asked: In other words, after it gets so cold outside, the running of the outside compressor unit is not worth the electricity needed to run the unit. That energy would be of better use running the strip heaters. I know the strips will kick in if needed.

Kaser S asked: Hello fellow fitness enthusiasts,
I am only 23, but I’ve always had bad joints, and I permanently messed up my elbows when I was 17. Because of this I’m very careful when working out.
But recently I’ve started cutting some fat and for some reason my joints are hurting more than normal.
I only take whey protein and a vitamin supplement at the moment. Should I start taking a joint support supplement? I don’t know what are the proper brands or items. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ikabob asked: I live in CA and my wife lives in NJ. We have a joint account with a CA credit union. Now CA only taxes the interest of CA residents. Since my wife’s non-CA income also contributes to this interest, how should I split it for tax purposes?

Bob asked: I know that colds are caused by viruses, but some people still insist that going out in the cold rain (for example) can cause you to get sick. Is there any sort of correlation with cold temperature and getting a cold? For example, do cold viruses live longer in a colder environment, or do is the immune system weaker in cold weather, etc…
One thing that is interesting is that the illness itself is called a “cold”, so originally that must have been what people thought caused it.

tendernip99 asked: Do you need these specialty detergents, like Tide and others make, or can you use your normal, everyday detergent. In addition, I know you can’t use the powder detergents in the cold washes, so no need to counsel me there. Thanks.
